Recording Your Name and Greeting on Your Voicemail

Recording your name and a greeting for your voicemail is a good way to add a personal touch to your voicemail when someone calls and you cannot answer the phone. 
 
TO RECORD YOUR NAME
  1. Log on to your mailbox.
  2. At the main menu, press 8 for User Options.
  3. Press 1 for Personal Options.
  4. Press 5 to access the option to record your name.
  5. To begin recording, press 2 and say your name (first and last).
  6. To stop recording, press 2.
  7. Optionally, do the following:
    • To review your name… press 6.
    • To delete your name and start over… press 4.
    • To cancel and exit without saving or recording… press * (star).
  8. To save the recording, press 5.

YOUR PERSONAL GREETING

Your personal greeting is the message callers hear when they are directed to leave you a voice message.  You may want to write your greeting down on paper before recording it.  The following is an example of a typical personal greeting:
 
“You’ve reached the voicemail for <your name>.  I am not available to take your call at this time.  Please leave your name, number and a message after the tone.  I will return your call as soon as possible.”

  4. Press 3 to access the option to record a personal greeting.
  5. Press 2 to access the option to record a standard greeting.
  6. To begin recording, press 2.
  7. To stop recording, press 2.
  8. Optionally, do the following:
    • To review your greeting… press 6.
    • To delete your greeting and start over… press 4.
    • To cancel and exit without saving or recording… press * (star).
  9. To save the recording, press 5.
