Placing Calls on Hold

The Call Hold feature is used to put a telephone call on hold.  The extension is then free to handle other calls.  When a call is on hold for longer than 2 minutes, it calls back to the extension where the call was placed on hold.  

To Put a Call on Hold on a Single Line Phone:
  1. Ask the party to wait and remain on the line.
  2. Press the hook switch down momentarily.
  3. Dial *35.
  4. Hang up.
To Pick Up a Call from Hold on a Single Line Phone:
  1. Lift handset.
  2. Dial #35.
To Put a Call on Hold from a Digital Feature Phone:
  1. Ask the party to wait and remain on the line.
  2. Press the HOLD button.
  3. Hang up.
To Pick Up a Call from Hold on a Digital Feature Phone:
  1. Lift handset or press SPEAKER.
  2. Press the HOLD button or press the button for the extension where the call is holding.
