FAQ: Microsoft Office

Can I borrow Microsoft Office to install at home?

Probably.  If you are a full-time staff member, you are entitled to Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2010 through an agreement between Microsoft and EHOVE Career Center.  You can borrow a disc (as well as written instructions for installation) from Kathy Schenk in the warehouse.  You will be required to sign an agreement form and sign out the software prior to borrowing the software disc.  The software for Office 2007 and Office 2010 is on a DVD disc, so your computer must have a DVD drive in order to read it.

If I have an older version of Microsoft Office at home, will I be able to open up documents that I create at school?

Maybe.  If you have an older version of Microsoft Office at home, you could install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack in order to open up files on later versions.  Newer versions of Microsoft Office can open files created in older versions.  You can download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack by going to Microsoft's website.
