FAQ: Equipment Signout and Event Setups

How can I reserve or sign out a projector or other equipment?

You can request equipment via an online work order.  Click here to submit a work order for reserving equipment.  The problem type on the work order form would be "Equipment Checkout."  Please list the date and time the equipment needs to be checked out as well as when you will be returning it.  The equipment can be picked up and signed out in the Technology Office located in Building G (Warehouse).  

What equipment is available for signing out from the Tech Department?

The following equipment is available to be checked out from the Technology Department:
  • Laptops
  • LCD Projectors
  • Computer Speakers
  • Mini Digital Video Cameras
  • Projection Screens
  • SMART Wireless Slate
Equipment can be reserved and signed out on a first come first served basis.  Please reserve equipment in advance and please return the equipment as soon as you can so that others can use it right away.  

What is the procedure to have equipment set up for an event?

If you will need technical equipment set up for an event, please submit an online work order at least a week prior to the event.  Use the "Event Setup" problem type when submitting your work order.  Please note the date and time of the start of the event and when the event will end in the work order.  Also note the location of the event and any details as to how the equipment should be set up.  If you need the equipment set up in a specific location or in a specific way, please note that information in the work order. 

If you will need to have someone from the Technology Department to be on hand for technical support during the event, please make arrangements for that ahead of time.
